Well, I decided to ask the Athletic Director of our school to see about a special meeting of the league. A few hours later, I received an email from the principal informing me that she had spoken with the interim superintendent and they were going to go with the league’s decision. (Now I ask you...how is it right that all of these people are having meetings regarding decisions about my child without my knowledge or ability to speak on her behalf?) 2 days later, I decided I would draft a letter and make an attempt at compelling the league to reverse their decision. I hand delivered these letters to all schools involved and made sure that the interim superintendent of our district and Pacheco’s principal also got copies. That afternoon, I received an email with an attached letter letting me know that Rachel would no longer be able to practice with the team - effective immediately. Hmmm…..I happen to think this is wrong, since I know for a fact that at least one other non-team member was allowed to practice with the team in the past. Keep reading…...here. |
